Sims 3 Downloads

Hi all,

Sims 3 Downloads...........

There are 2 locations to put the downloads - one tells me to put them in: Libraries>Documents>My Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3>Mods

Another is: Libraries>Documents>My Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3>Downloads

But this site is telling me: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

As far as I can tell none of them are working(!) and when I try to install things from WinZip following the prompts I get a message that it 'Can't locate The Sims3 Cache files'.

Please help!

Oh - and I'm running Windows 7 as an operating system.........(if that helps!)

Hi richf,

You can just ignore the message about the cache files, the mods should still install fine. You get this message from some of our older installers if another installer already deleted the cache files. Just make sure to point our installers to your Sims 3 folder where you installed the game to, not the one below your "My Documents" folder.

Hi again - thanks for the reply - I am a Biff.............

Understood - but the ones which install from a Zip file install themselves through the games inbuilt installer fine from the 'Documents' folder.

The others which don't - should they be in the 'Downloads' folder or the 'Mods>Packages' folder
