install directory?

Hello there,
I'm new here and was wondering if anyone could help me out. All previous modes from other sites have worked fine for me but the installer for many mods on this site seem to get a bit lost. For siome reason they're unable to find the correct install directory and ask me to decide on one manually. Do i put them in the base game directory (i.e. ...programme files/EA/sims3/)
or is it a folder within base game (i.e. ...game/bin) or the mods directory? I'm a little lost

Any help would be much appreciated,

Hi there,

hope I don't tell you any rubbish, but it should work if you get the mac version (Manuel Install) and put the files in the same directory that you use for non xSIMS mods. But as mentioned, I am not 100% sure about that, give it a try and let me know.
