How do i install this? I downloaded it but it wont let me choose where to install the file. it keeps saying "set up not completed successfully"

Normally the installer chooses the correct install path by itself. So why in the first place would you want to choose another directory? The install directory has to be your Sims 3 folder where you installed the game to. If the installer does not work for you you can always download the Mac version of a mod and extract the package file that is in there an put that in your Sims 3 mods folder.
